Valentine’s Day Jump
Gary and I decided to forego the rat for dinner idea tonight. Instead, we trekked out to Ricardo’s to celebrate Valentine’s day. Ricardo’s (my new favorite restaurant) is a great little Tex Mex place in Allen. If you haven’t been there, you should check it out. I highly recommend the pollo en crema, grilled chicken breast in an almond cream sauce. It’s fab.

After dinner, we headed to the theater to check out Jumper. It opened today and was a pretty good sci-fi flick. It had an interesting plot, good action, and Rome. Any movie that highlights Rome has my vote. In one scene, the actors were sitting in a cafe at the Pantheon. It was cool because Gary and I had dinner at that exact cafe. It was steps away from our hotel. Ah, what great memories, but I digress.

Back to the movie. It was a cool concept. The “jumpers” can teleport anywhere by simply thinking about the place they want to go. What a great talent. Imagine going to lunch in Rome, visiting the pyramids in Egypt, and being back home in time for dinner. I really wish God had given us that ability. It would be so great to travel the world in an instant, rather than endure a long, arduous plane ride overseas. Oh well, until that time, I guess I’ll suffer through the plane ride…it’s worth it.
Well, that was my V-day celebration. If you are celebrating this weekend, go see Jumper. In my opinion, it’s much better than the click flicks that are playing right now.
Oh yeah…and have a happy Valentine’s Day!
