Breckenridge Day Three: It’s Snowing!
The overwhelming theme for the day was “snow”. There was lots of it. Everywhere. On the mountain, on the trees, on our clothes, on the ski runs and in the air, it was great.
We hit the slopes around 11 am today and skied until the lifts closed at 4 pm. The temperatures were much colder than yesterday (in the teens), so we had to bundle up for the cold. It was worth the extra effort, though. Skiing on fresh power is the best.
Tomorrow will be even better because it’s supposed to be a little warmer. That means we’ll have freshly groomed powder along with nice temperatures and the return of the sun. Too bad it’s our last day here! We fly home to Dallas late tomorrow night.
After skiing, we went into town for dinner and found a great little restaurant with a casual atmosphere and home cooking. I don’t remember the name, but as Gary said, “Any restaurant with a velvet Elvis hanging on the wall has to be good.” Okay, so the decor was a little eclectic, but the food was good.
We walked around town after dinner and did some shopping. Breckenridge is such a neat place. If you’ve never been here before, then you need to put it on your list of places to visit. It’s a great place to ski, shop, and hang out.
The pictures are great. Being out in fresh snow would be so much fun.
Zander says “Yaap” and Joss just looks wistful and says nothing, but they are looking forward to you coming home.
