Hartburn Hotel: Night Two
Almost 200 people showed up for tonight’s performance of Hartburn Hotel at the McKinney Repertory Theatre. They came ready to have fun, and we gave it to them! It was a great night, with a great crowd, and there were a few little mishaps that made the performance even more funny. I won’t go into specifics since I know some of you haven’t made it to the show yet — don’t want to spoil anything for you.
Once again, we had a fantastic showing from friends and ALC’ers tonight. Thanks for supporting us and coming to cheer, boo, laugh, and hiss. We are so blessed to have such great friends and family! You are AWESOME!
After the show wrapped, we hung around to say hello to everyone who came to watch the performance. Then we changed out of our costumes and helped clean up the dressing rooms. A church will be using the theatre for a service tomorrow morning so our stuff had to be put away — sounds familiar, huh? We always have to clean up on Saturday at ALC too. Fortunately, none of the set had to be removed. It will be obscured by the black curtains of the theatre until next weekend when we gear up to do it all over again.
We have three more performances — Friday night, Saturday night, and a Sunday matinee. If you haven’t seen it yet, there’s still time! Get your tickets now.
After the show, Gary and I stayed downtown. We ate a late dinner in one of the restaurants in the square, Cadillac Pizza. It was one of the only places still open, but they had great food and a live band so it was the perfect ending to a lovely fun-filled day.
