And They’re Off!
Who hit the fast forward button on my life? I can’t believe this weekend passed so quickly. I remember when I was younger, I used to complain about being bored. I can’t even remember what that’s like now. Maybe I stay busy because I vehemently hate being bored, or maybe I need to master the art of saying “no”. Either way, the last few days are a fuzzy blur.
Since I was too tired to write a blog last night and it’s too late to write two blogs now, I’m going to combine yesterday and today into one blog. So, here it goes…my weekend (the bullet points):
- Woke up early on Saturday and cleaned the house for the One Life Game Night party at our house
- Went to Lone Star Park for the Beal Bank 20th anniversary party in the afternoon
- Came home and finished getting ready for the party
- Welcomed the One Life group for dinner, games and fellowship
- Slept late on Sunday and caught the 11:15 service at church
- Went to Garland with Gary for a quick GTO test drive — a friend at work is selling hers, and it’s been Gary’s car of the day a few times, so we went to check it out
- Came home and managed to steal a couple of hours in the pool — I did run lines while I was out there, though (no wasted time for me..haha)
- Ate dinner and spent the rest of the evening creating stage diagrams, props and backstage notes for Pirates of Patmos. I really love doing plays, but I’ll also be glad when it’s over. It is so much work. The bad news is that I won’t get much of a break because we start work on SNL soon after wrapping Pirates of Patmos. No rest for the weary!
Well, that’s Saturday and Sunday in brief. I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. Even though mine passed quickly, it was lots of fun.
Have a great Monday!
